EVENTS

Based near Swansea, Donna Jones has many years experience of teaching practical skills to a wide range of people in a variety of settings. She has also worked as a freelance tutor for Rowan Yarns, and continues to teach a broad range of knitting classes to equip participants with the skills they need, as well as encouraging their own creativity.

Workshops at Hazel Court, Sketty Park, Swansea.
Hazel court is a bright, modern residential complex which provides a range of community spaces for both residents and the wider public. All areas can be accessed by wheelchair users and there are lifts to all floors.

Light refreshments are provided at the start of the day and in the afternoon. A meal and any additional refreshments can be purchased from the onsite cafe/restaurant, or you may prefer to bring your own packed lunch.

Workshops for retailers

If you are interested in booking me to teach in your yarn shop please contact me for further information about the workshops and services I can offer.

What if a workshop is full?

If a workshop is full, I’ll start a waiting list and run a repeat session when enough knitters are interested. Please contact me if you’d like to be added to a waiting list and I’ll let you know when a new session is planned.

If you’d like to get the head’s up when new workshops become available, why not join the Knitter’s Club? This is free of charge and, as well being first to know any news, you’ll be able to access the members only area which has a range of knitterly resources including the occasional free pattern.

Workshop T&C's

Payment
Payment is required to secure your booking. You can pay via Pay Pal which is secure, fast and easy.  You do not have to have a paypal account to pay via paypal as you can use your credit or debit card.  Alternatively I accept online banking payment, or Sterling cheques by post (and will confirm your place once your cheque has cleared) – Please contact me for further information, using the contact form below, if you would like to pay by either of these 2 methods.

Cancellations
If you have to cancel your place, a refund may be possible depending on how much notice you give in advance of the workshop date:

6 weeks – full refund
4-6weeks –  50% of the fee (and refund the rest if the place can be re-sold)
27 days or less – unfortunately no refund can be given unless you or I am able to fill your place.

If you are unable to attend you can of course send someone in you place, but please inform me of this prior to the event.

To ensure a quality workshop experience numbers are limited to a maximum of 8-12 places (depending on the topic) at each event.  However, where too few people book to make the workshop viable, the workshop would need to be cancelled.  Should this scenario occur I will endeavour to give you 14 days notice. If I have to cancel the event you will receive a full refund, or you can opt to transfer to another event if you prefer.

What’s included?
The fee includes:
full tuition
practice yarns, beads etc
a workshop pack containing training materials and a free pattern

You will need to bring your own knitting needles and basic sewing kit (sewing needles, scissors, etc) as specified for a particular workshop.
